The other advantage to plants, fry can hide amongst them lowering their chance of being dinner for a tank mate! Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. Fry of those fishes will take baby brine shrimp from the word go. However, foliage for the fry to hide amongst is an excellent idea. If the parents are the kind of fishes that don't rip up plants, and usually, Rams and Kribs are fairly well behaved in that regard, then this will assist in yur fry raising. Only thing about Elodea in tropical aquaria is this - it grows like stink. Expect it to grow an inch a day if it has reasonable lighting and a good stock of nutrients from the fish wastes! ![]() |
