| Gravel Change | |

It is fully cycled and I know that I shouldn't remove all the gravel at once so do I change half of it out at a time? Or would it be safe to remove it all at once? Any advice would be great., thanks. |

Here's the way to go: keep your filter running in another tank (or just leave it running in a bucket of tank water). Siphon all the water out, invert the tank, and simply dump out the gravel. Replace the gravel, put the filter back in place, and bag a bit of the old gravel in a mesh bag and keep it in the tank until you consistently test negative for ammonia/trites. |
