SheKoi Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 553 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Feb-2004 | i'm in the process of setting up my tank 60us gallons (~225L) i've got two heaters in at the moment, i've just noticed that one isn't shutting off, so i've decided to replace both and that will then leave me a spare. I've looked in my books and on the web to check what sizes to get and nearly everyone says somthing completely different. i want two heaters for a 60 usgal tank what sizes do i get? cheers shekoi www.blooming-brilliant.co.uk |

My little booklet an old "Basic Aquarium" Recommends 40-60Gal 200W 60-90gal 300W Now depending on your location if you live in a warm climate I would go for the 200W but if in a colder climate the 300W. Now after saying all that I would prefer the 300W to be on the safe side as I think the 200W would be working at its maxium too much. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
