Anyway I also have 5 make Guppies they have now started joining in chasing her round? Is it NORMAL for any breed of Male fish to chase any breed of femal fish or is it just Guppy behavior? I think I will buy her a little tank of her own so she's out of the way but then I have 2 female Mollies and I don't see them get chased around by the Men in the tank? |

The platies and guppies cannot interbreed, so fortunately you just have platy babies and not hybrids. It is possible, though rare, for mollies and guppies to hybridize with one another because they are more closely related. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Yes it certainly can happen, some times it looks like a pack of mixed breed dogs chasing one female dog all over town. If possible can you get more females or replace the male with another female Platy. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
