Hey guys! Wow It has been a while. Well I got a green spotted puffer that needs to eat snails weekley, So I get the pest snails from the pet stores for free. I been puting them in my 20 gal freshwater tank but they are becoming pesty in there so I want to get like a little 2-3 gal tank to put my snails in so I dont have to hunt them down and stress my other tank. What do they need to live, and what to eat? Also I thought of putting a betta in there to add some life!
Also any ideas for stocking a 20gal hex? Im down to 5 fish in there. Just tetras and rosabarbs.

Give the snails some water and a food source such as a plant. Anacharis/Elodea should work well as a food source as it is hardy, grows fast, and doesn't even need to be rooted. Just use old tank water to fill up the snail container and be on your way. Pest snails can be quite hardy.

I would toss in a piece of lettuce and put a rock on it to keep it down.
I would not put any thing in the tank with the snails it could lead to problems with their heavy waste.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
