What is the best way to remove Krib fry from their parents tank so that the parents can get back to breeding, and the fry can be grown on?

Thanks a lot.

Two ways that pop into my head first are an airline tubing siphoning job or the reliable turkey baster

If you run with the siphon method, make sure that the siphon tube chosen has a suitably wide bore. Otherwise, the fry could be damaged in transit.

My preferred method would be to remove the parents temporarily first - as larger fishes, they'll be easier to catch. Then, once you have only fry in the aquarium, netting them out and transferring them to a rearing nursery will be a good deal easier. Once that is done, replace the parent fishes. This is, of course, if the parent fishes are in a purpose constructed breeding aquarium.

As an after thought I would like to say that next time it might be easier just to take out the eggs and incubate them in a seperate aquarium using an airstone, seeing as how you want to try breeding them again.

I personally think using a fine net would be far stressful than trying to syphon them out. When I had fry many years ago I only ever used a small fine net and never a problem as far as losses/stress.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Thanks everyone, I will probably try and siphon them out later at night when they are all clustered together.
