I have 4 killifish fry, at least I HOPE I still have 4.

They are in a 5.5G with their mother, but seperated in their breeder net.

I now have a 2.5G tank empty, florescent light & airstone, but no heater or filter.

If I move them into the other tank, it will be in my bedroom where the water stays about 75 degree's, it's where I keep all my betta bowls, warmest room in my house.

Would I be better off to move them into the bigger barracks, or should I just continue to leave them in the breeder net until they are large enough to swim with mamma?

prolly the breeder net would help for awhile untill of course they get bigger provide plants that reach all the way up to the tank to for protection so they learn to be safe also breeder net because it will be easier for them to get food well people might have different opinions good job on getting the babies and good luck

The fry is all at least 4-6 weeks old, at least counting from the time that I saw them and netted them in there.

Mmmm, all the killie parents that I know are oppurtunistic feeders. A nice way of saying that they eat their young. Depending on the type of killie, I would move the young to the 2.5 gallon with some vegetation for their comfort. Use 2 gallons of the current tank water and then new water to top it off.

Well I moved them. There only seems to be 2 fry left, a female and what I'm hoping to be a younger male. I guess they didn't make it past the "care" my friend provided over the holidays.

They are happy in the 2.5G home, they have a filter in there as well on low. So hopefully this will give them more room to grow, they are very playfull.
