Hello! I wanted to start feeding my angels and rams peas! What do I have to do to them so they will be safe? Can I use the canned ones?

Frozen ones are better, they don't have the added sugar or salt that canned often has, but if that's all you have access to ....
Take the peas and rinse them very well (not necessary if you use frozen)
Warm them between your fingers and pop them from the outer skin.
Take each half and and mush between your fingers and offer it do the tank.

Many of my fish will take them right from my fingers , then go and play tug of war with the pieces .

I only use the cooked frozen type. I squash it between my fingers, all my fish seem to come round when I have the peas as an extra food.

I use frozen peas, thaw them in cool water, remove the shell, halve and kind of squash them, drop in the tank. They're very popular with many of my fish, the loaches will carry a half to a hiding place so none of the others can get it

I too use the frozen peas...but right now we are working on a bag of peas and carrots I don't use cold water though. I take some out and put them in a small plastic bowl and run them under some hot water for a little bit, then leave them to sit and defrost...once they are defrosted, I drain off the water and "squash" them between my fingers into the fish tank...talk about a fight :%)

First time I did it with the cichlids last night and there was a fight over them. The guppies love them, and the goldies love them...gets to be interesting to watch a small fish swim off with a big chunk o'veggie...

With frozen foods I either put them in a cup of tank water (that other water isn't dechlored ) or I put them on the light. It's warm enough to defrost peas or something.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

Peas, peas good for the heart
Peas, peas make you ___________

erm I am trying to say they are good for our fish's digestion. A good clean out. If you look carefully you will see little tiny air bubbles rising from their behinds and a sheepish expression on their face.

'scuse fishies! (equivalent to 'pardon pigs')

I used canned peas myself. I dont buy frozen veggies as a rule, just the way it is I guess.
I dont rinse mine either LOL
I just take a handful, deshell them, and pop em whole in the tank. My fish break em apart themselves.
