I have a 20gal that had 1 whisker shrimp about 2inch long 2 oto's 1 mystery snail a few trumpit snails and about 20 bn pleco fry and a few odd's and ends guppy fry ,,I want to move the tank so I been moving some of the fish out of it to my 20 gal slowly ,,got the otos out got whisker shimp out and havnt seen any sign of bn fry ,,,any ideas if shrimp or mystery snail would eat them ? UGF, water conditions perfect
been 2 weeks now nothing in there but snails and plants

Sorry to hear that your BN fry have vanished,
Not saying its impossible, but more unlikely that any of the snails did any harm to the fry, or even the ottos, if they had any active part, it was probably cleaning up after the more suspect predator, the whisker shrimp.
I did a google search on the critter and got a few results from other forum posts indicating that the whisker can be fairly nasty to small fish, let alone fry >>

Good possibility the shrimp was the likely culprit. Hope ya manage to find atleast a few fry that managed to hide in a good place, also it might not hurt to carefully check under the UGF plate.

Having seen BN fry all packed tight in little dark spots they could still be hiding some where or the shrimp found them when the lights were out, it would only be a snack for a shrimp that size.
