Hi~
I've been using the profiles here to check out some options for restocking. Anyone have suggestions or comments on the ones I'm considering?

Tank #1:
freshwater
29 g standard
72-75 deg. F
mildly hard (city tap)
pH~ somewhat alkaline (probably 7.5, maybe 8)
no salt
planted
large gravel bottom
standard filter (no UGF)
lighting
lots of caves
wc 1/week

Currently houses:
about 10 danios, including zebra, pearl, and leopard
one female bristlenose pleco (2.5-3 in.)

Ideas:
Tetras (about 6): neon, flame, black line, silver tips, or lemon
Barbs: tiger or tic tac toe
Corydoras: whatever my LFS has in stock
Cichlids: kribensis (p. pulcher), acara (l. curviceps or l. dorsigera)
Gouramis: c. lalia, m. opercularis, t. chuna, or t. leerii

Tank #2
freshwater
5.5 g aquarium/ terrarium
terrarium half includes large gravel (no dirt) and a stand of bamboo
aquarium half includes a few g of water and aquatic plants
mildly hard (city tap)
pH~ somewhat alkaline (probably 7.5, maybe 8)
no salt
no heater, no lights (yet)
currently no fish

Ideas:
??
white cloud minnows?
ghost shrimp
some kind of small turtle?

Thanks for your input!!

the Tiger barbs would go great with the danios, and maybe a handful of corys for the bottom... Just watch what else you put in there if you do Tiger Barbs, as they are nippy and very active.. The Gourami might not be a good idea with Tiger Barbs.

I have dwarf neon rainbows, white cloud mountain minnows and rummynose tetras with my tiger barbs, they all do well together in a 20g. Make sure you get at least 6 tigers ro they will harrass the other fish ceaselessly.

As for the aquarium/terrarium deal... a nice male betta might go good in the aquarium side, with a couple snails or ghost shrimp...

the acaras are the flag acara and red-breasted acara
the gouramis are dwarf, paradise, honey, and pearl

Would the tiger barbs be aggressive toward corys? I've had that problem with kribs and corys before.

I think you usually have to watch out for long flowing fins with nippy fish like barbs, but i don't think that they'd be a problem with corys. None of our more aggressive fish have ever gone for our corys.
