	Should I Change My Noodles
pla Fingerling Posts: 21 Kudos: 15 Votes: 2 Registered: 25-Jul-2006	Hey i have a tank that has been set up for 2 years now running a fluval 305 and have never changed any of the ceramic noodles or sponges i just rinse them whenever i clean the filter. should these be changed i know fluval would like me to but apart from changing colour they both appear to be fine.

If Fluval actually recommends you to in their manual I'd be surprised. I took all mine out and replaced them with a fine Scoria 3=5mm (volcanic rock) It works a lot better in my Eheim Pro11 Or do you mean just replace then with the same product?
