Stupid fish | |
Brengun Big Fish Posts: 355 Kudos: 187 Votes: 110 Registered: 22-Jun-2007 | Has anyone else had stupid fish? We had a Betta once who swam between a bn log and the glass, then tried to turn around in the tight spot. He suffocated. Just recently we got another Betta. Yesterday he swam so far up under driftwood that I had a job just trying to extract the snail eaten body. It was wedged as far in as it could get. Is it just me who seems to get an occasional really dumb fish? |

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. If these get exposed later (ie. you move the wood) and anaerobic bacteria have formed, you'll get some pretty bad rotton egg smell from production of hydrogen sulfide. Fish aren't necessarily stupid. They're just not exactly some of the smartest animals around... -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

fishmonster Big Fish Oh My Heck! Posts: 329 Kudos: 88 Votes: 73 Registered: 11-Apr-2007 | I had a Skunk Loach that would love to hide in the tightest spots it could find. One day I was changing out my decor in my old 30 gallon tank and I couldnt find him, I was worried. About half hour later I found him wedged in a gap where the decor had been molded around. He was still alive and I was able to get him out. But he loved that spot along with gaps in my DW. I Ended up just letting him do his thing.
