Hi,
The short answer is Yes, you could put them in your
400 gallon pond. Where, they could be eaten by some
large fish. However, what do you do with all the
left over frogs?

Well they are pretty big tadepoles though, they are like 3", and the biggest fish in the pond is 5". I would only plan on buying one or two though.

The most important question is what species are they? Will they survive a winter there and if they do will they breed and possibly harm the ecosystem? If you add a few to your pond they are not contained away from the environment and anything they do will have an impact on native wildlife. Best to find out the species and if it is already native in your area. If not it would be better to get some native tadpoles for your pond.

bull frog tadpoles are fairly harmless, however a bull frog can grow 6in or more. and are know to eat food as large as ducklings, mice, fish..... they will try to eat anything that moves and is too slow to get away. strongly recomend not geting bullfrogs for your pond. leopard frog or maybe green frog for your pond. hope this isnt to late.
