Can people give me an idea of how long they think it might take to complete the task, could it be an evening/four hour job, or are we talking in excess of six hours here?! This is the schedule - Drain 4', bag fish. Remove sand and rocks. Remove + store plants from 2'. Drain and bag fish. Remove substrate, add to bucket and mix with new substrate 'ingredients'. Add new substrate to 4', top with sand Half fill with water, Plant. Add rest of water, add fish, fix filter. Totally clean out 2' tank from mucky substrate to clean - Add sand and rocks, Fill and add fish etc. x |

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread. |

I think that cleaning out the smaller tank in readiness for the purely sand substrate to be put in will take a bit of faffing about. Perhaps I should try to start early teatime and hope its done by midnight. Little hands which like to help invariably slow things down ![]() |

Good luck with a big job. Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? You can't just pop out to the shops if you need a whatsit at 11pm. |
