In light of recent weather events here in NC I have some bad news to report. Over the last week we were getting off and on snow/ice storms. One of which took down a power line (I have no idea how, we barely got any ice) and we lost power. Unfortunately no one was home to kick on the generator and I came home to some dead fishes. Normally these storms and power outages arent a problem, but we werent home. Total fatalities:

1 bolivian ram (the younger male)
3 german blue rams (2 female and the 1 male I was finally able to find)
1 ember tetra

My remaining blue ram (the little female) you may have seen some photos of her, is doing just fine.

All is back to normal though.

Seeing you have a generator I assume it is for house hold use as well. Do you know that they can be made to kick in when the power goes of automatically.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

So sorry Punk! I've followed your attempts to get all set up with your rams. These rams seem to be a never ending source of pleasure as well as frustration for you. If it isn't one thing, it's another!
Maybe you've been through it all now & there is nothing left but success for you. I wish you the best of luck in future!

Thank you all for the comments. Ya our genorator has a switch you can flip to have it come on automatically when the power goes off. But we did not have the switch flipped.
