The last few days have really been very weird. I thought I'd share this with everyone.

About a week ago my fish had ich. I added some meds, it went away. Then I went and bought some live plants (don't know the name). My fish got ich again. My male guppy had fin rot. I took him out and put some meds in his 1g container but he died. Then, one of my opaline gouramis started dashing around the tank. I thought it had flukes, and at that time I did not have any meds for flukes. Anyway a day after that everything was fine. The gourami don't swim around as much as they used to but they eat well so I'm not too concerned.

Personally I think the live plants caused the damage, but it seems to be ok now.

Today, one of my guppies had babies. It had been sitting for a couple of days, but I guess this was the reason. I put a few in the breeding net and left the rest in the tank. Partly because I couldn't catch them. But to my surprise no fish touched them. One fry was RIGHT next to the gouramis and it ignored the fry.

Thats pretty much sums it up. Am I the only one who thinks this is weird?

No this isn't weird...My guppy fry will swim right up to the Neons and Guppies, and all but beg them to eat them...do they NO!!! It's just one of the joys...I actually gave up trying to catch the guppy fry and seperate them...They stay in the same tank as the adults, and if they get eaten, they get eaten...Heartless I know, but oh well...They pretty much keep me overstocked anyways...Hopefully noone else will get sick in your tank ...I know when the bad starts going it will make you scream ]:| But, when it's good it is wonderful

Best of luck, and enjoy your fry, Heidi

Well done now you have more to look after. Aquarium fish always seem to have something to look at, that what make it so interesting.
