Sorry if that was a bad idea. Anyways, i just noticed today that under one of the leaves on my Rotala Rotundifolia there appears to be a clear bubble with approximately 10 white circular dots inside. I just bought this 29G tank on march 15, filtered until the 17th, bought 3 zebra danios to cycle the tank with and it appears to be doing fine. Although, im not sure what this bubble-like formation is as i've only been fishkeeping for 4 days. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys! |

One suggestion is to weigh down a piece of lettuce in your tank overnight. By the morning it should be covered in snails and you can fish it out, removing all the snails, Repeat for a couple of nights and you should be sorted. Alternatively you can buy some snail eating fish. I believe Clown Loaches, Yo-Yo Loaches and Chained Loaches are all meant to be good for this. Check the profiles section here though to make sure they won't grow too big for your tank (especially the Clown). I think you can also get some chemical treatments, but I don't know a lot about that. I'd be a bit worried on the effect on my fish. Finally, you can sit there yourself picking them out. I've got a bit of a snail problem myself, I've got a few Chained Loaches, but they're not doing a great deal of snail eating at the moment ![]() Good Luck. |

I suggest leaving the snails there, because they are effective detritus and algae eaters. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

I introduced some snails via the substrate not the plants as they were well treated before being placed into the tank. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
