I use the OSI VividColor flakes as a staple, and I don't know why.

I also use Hikari algae wafers for my corys and plecos.

I don't have a favorite or consider one 'best'. I have at least four different types of flake onhand, two of wafers, two of cichlid pellets along with shrimp pellets, freeze-dried blood worms, and five different frozen foods. I also buy live food when I can and feed veggies at least once a week. My fish have quite a varied diet

I use a good brand names flake food & pellet never loose bulk unnamed.
Four different types of sinking pellets including wafers.
Also many different vegs and other foods including four frozen blood worm blocks three times a week .

The reason for this is I would not like to be on the same food diet all the time. With a well balanced mix they must get all the necessary goodies.

My tank speaks for its self often commented on how healthy my fish are.

*agrees with Keith*

My fish-sitters make fun of me for having over five types of food and only two little tanks, but we don't eat the same thing all the time, so why should they? Everyone should have a varied diet, whether you have fur, feathers, scales, or something else.

They've had the Nature's Delica/Fresh Delica things for at least a few years in Enlgand. I got them when I was there. It's sad I have also noticed them disappearing from stores. My fish love them.

I also feed HBH betta bites to my bettas

TetraMin flakes to my tropicals

And Tetra cichlid flakes to my brichardis.

Not to mention freeze-dried or frozen foods...

i prefer tetramin crisps for a staple flake food. i also use Marineland's Bioblend pellets. As a supplement, i offer a variety of sinking wafers and 5 kinds of frozen food.

I agree with everyone who's said a varied diet is best. i notice fish tend to be healthier, show more color, and diplay natural behavior more often when they eat well.

the fish food is shared among my cichlids, bettas and tropical fish.

I feed my fish some unknown brand of Pond Flakes. Whatever it is it comes in a 10lb box that the store breaks down into half pound packages. In comparison to Wardley Total Tropical: Fish pick the no name flake. It smells great and it is cheap, so Thats why I pick it.
I also feed my fish HBH 8 Veggie Flake, OSI Brine Shrimp Flake, Tubifex Worms, Nutrafin "Red Grubs", Wardley Shrimp Pellets, Wardley Slow Sinking Crumbles, Algae Wafers, Nutrafin SInking Tabs for Bottom Feeders and Invertebrates, as well as Frozen Blood worms and Daphnia, and fresh veggies such as zuchinni.
