What to add to my 55gal | |
dbenn Fingerling Posts: 23 Kudos: 19 Votes: 40 Registered: 31-Mar-2005 | I have a 55 gal tank with the following in it: 3 Boesemani rainbows 4 white skirt tetras 2 serpae tetras 6 guppies (2 male, 4 female) 1 bristlenose pleco 1 sailfin pleco 2 marble hatchetfish 1 lonely neon tetra I'm thinking of adding some more rainbows as I really like the ones that I have as well as a school of neons. I haven't had much luck with the neons in the past though. I'm also thinking of moving the guppies out to make room for something else. I have a 20 gal that I can put them in. Any suggestions?? |

Bring the Serpaes up to atleast 4...6 would be better. Then bring the Hatchets to 4-6. You could add another Bosemani or a couple more. I would take the neon back to the store as you are already stocked to the max (or will be once you increase the schooling fish). You could add another bottom fish, maybe a shoal of cories. Thats all I would add. I would take out the guppies if you have another tank for them. So you'd be left with: 4-6 Bosemani 4 whiteskirts 4-6 serpaes 4-6 hatchetfish 1 bristlenose 1 sailfin (which will eventually outgrow the tank) And cories if you decide to get some. I wouldn't add anything else, as the tank will be fully stocked. |

Increase the schools just a little, with a school of Cardinal Tetras this will give you a balanced Tetra tank. Just my oponion. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
