There have been many threads on human foods for shishies. Plecs and other bottom dwellers typically love blanched cucumbers, zuchinis, and lettuce. People have had luck feeding tomatoes too. Ghost shrimp and other inverts will eat potatoe and apple I believe. I think you could even give bigger cichlids pieces of certain meats...it'd be a lot easier to suggest a food if we knew what your trying to feed. ![]() ~FF~ EDIT: hahahah me and Nick have an esp thing going ![]() Last edited by FerretFanatic at 16-Oct-2004 11:03 -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |

Different kinds of fish seem to like different veggies, and it varies even more depending on a fish's taste. Cucumber and zucchnni seem to be popular with most algae eaters, I don't know about other fish, though. |

But, I'm not sure if they are good for anything else. I feed all of my fish some peas once every other week and they actually seem to like it. |

The pesticide residue in veges will not have a favorable reaction with fish. A good way to foul a tank is to feed vegetables which are not a balanced meal for trops anyway. --garyroland. |

Letuce, cooked peas & corn & carrot, Also raw tomato, raw zuccini & pear. As well as raw fresh & SW fish, lambs liver, prawn meat. My sectet is not to leave it in the tank too long maybe one hr at the most. It is always done mid morning and usually the day before I do my 50Lt water change.
