How do I raise the alkalinity of my tank? I started useing test stripes to test my water, instead of the drops, and it test alkalinity but i don't know how to raise it.

Any carbonate residue should raise your pH, although I don't really see the need to unless you're housing African cichlids, in which case crushed gravel would be better than your other alternatives. I've heard good things about aragonite, too.

the paper said alkalinity in the ideal range will help maintain ph, some times mine shifts alittle. what can i add?
