![]() | 120 Gallon Tank 2004--Please, Help! |
Gregs Got Fish 129![]() Big Fish Posts: 355 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Oct-2003 ![]() ![]() | I am going to convert my 120 gallon freshwater tank into a reef tank so I need some help with my fish list. The tank will have assorted corals and interts as well. Here's my list: 2 Ocellaris Clownfish 1 Blue (Regal) Tang 1 Six-line Wrasse 1 Convict Tang 1 Royal Gramma 1 Midas Blenny 1 Yellow Pyramid Butterflyfish (if I can find one) So here are my questions, please answer the ones you know: 1) Are these fish compatible with eachother? 2) Will they all live happily in a 120 gallon tank? (Am I overstocking?) 3) Are all of the fish reef-safe? 4) Will certain fish have trouble competing for food? 5) Are all of these fish easy to care for? Okay those are my questions. Feel free to post as much as you know! Thanks! |

It should not be included in a tank with other species of Tangs, since they will harass it. 1 Royal Gramma: Yes, reef safe, stays small, very nice color. 1 Midas Blenny: Yes, reef safe, peaceful. 1 Yellow Pyramid Butterflyfish: Reef with caution, very colorful fish, peaceful. I'm going to say that for a reef tank, you are over stocked. Reef tanks generally have far fewer fish. I would say all teh smaller fish are fine, but choose one of the following fish, convict tang, blue tang, or butterfly fish. Dan |

They are very sensitive to water quality and get sick very easy. Dan |
