Guppy_man![]() Hobbyist Posts: 114 Kudos: 128 Votes: 1 Registered: 27-Oct-2003 ![]() ![]() | I really want to do a saltwater setup and I was thinking of doing a 29 gallon FOWLR,but since that would cost around $800 my fiance said "No way that is too much right now!!!".The owner of thelfs said that he sets up 12 gallon tanks for $350.It includes the tank(Probably an eclipse 12)live rock,live sand,inverts,and 2 small fish(small clown and either a firefish a goby or a blenny).He said that he has setup these tanks for many people and has never had a complaint.He has some pictures of some that he has done and they are beautiful tanks.He said that as long as I keep up with the bi-weekly water changes using RO water I should have no problem with it.Should I consider this??? |

In all honesty a 12g tank can be pretty stable if you watch the water parameters closely and keep the tank topped off for evaporation. I would consider doing weekly water changes in it though instead of bi-weekly.....and IMO a 12g tank is too small for a clownfish when it is full grown. |
