Some can get larger, but many that come in on the rock get about a half inch in size.

That's a little brittle star. You most likly have a LOT of those. They clean up the tank by eating detris.

Ok didn't answer the question ...The base rock went in early last week and the critters showed up the next day!The stuff on the live rock took about 6 months to show most of its cool stuff.

I just added 22lbs of base rock and found a few hitchhikers.1 quarter sized and two dime sized brittle stars. All three are snow white and I was wandering what color I could expect them to be as they mature.

I also found an anemone about the size of a dime .It has clear tubes with small pinkish /white balls on the ends. The other I believe is an Aptaisia wich I will post pics as soon as possible for I.D. before I kill it.It has a small stalk with the whispy tentacles I have seen in pics.

My peppermints didn't even look at the mojanos, but they pretty much mowed thru the aiptasias.. I also have used the Joe's Juice on some of the bigger ones that have popped up in my tank.. Stuff works like a charm on aiptasia.. Haven't tried it on any of my mojano anemones, but I kinda like them so I'm not willing to zap them just yet..

How long have you had your liverock in the tank?? I know it seemed like it took FOREVER for my liverock to finally show me some goodies, but once it did, stuff was popping out all over the place..

I get that a lot to from GTPS. But then again their base rock is live rock. That last piece I got netted me a couple mushrooms, a Scarlet hermit, and a Sponge that is growing like you would not believe.

Thanks for the link and Yup ones the Majano variety and the other is definatly Aptaisia.I am getting a couple of Peppermint Shrimp this week.I planned on posting pics soon anyway since I need help with my lame rock work layout.
Can I just remove the rock and scrape them off or should I get some Joe's juice and the Peppermint Shrimp?

Sounds like a mojano anemone.. Might take a look here and see if it resembles any of the pictures..

The little stars you have are probably already at their full size. I have a ton of stars just like that. They are pretty much all white as well, and I imagine they will stay that way.

As far as the little anenome it's hard to tell without pictures, there are other pest anenomes besides aptasia though.
