If so, it's part of the cycle. It could be Cynobacteria. There is soem powder that you can add that will remove it, but I can't remember what it is called right now. As for your lights, leave them on about 11 hours a day or so. Dan Dan |

Diatoms (unlike green algae as not all algae are the same) are primarily the result of too much phospate in your water. Plus excess of silicates, NO3 and light in that order. Rohn |
