Wait will night time, then after the fish is a sleep, slowly catch it in a net. Another option is to use a plastic container and a net. Then chase the fish around with the net. You will soon learn where it will go in to the rock work, and where it will come out. You then place that container where it will come out and scoop it out when the fish swims in.

Kill it??? That is some statement for a fish keeper, no longer wants a fish, and it is hard to catch so kill it! No, I can't help you kill fish, just because you no longer want them.

And for future reference, please do not discuss killing fish on this website just because you are tired of them or don't want them any more, or for any reason, other than if you are fishing and going to keep them to eat or something.

Can't you set up a temporary container(s) or even plastic tubs to temporarily hold the rock and such until you catch the fish? I mean, why would you resort to killing it? That's outrageous!

I'm thinking remove the rock, and therefore hiding places, drain the tank down to just a few inches deep and then catch it. Replace the rocks and water and get a water change to boot.
