Lol i didnt reply to this cause i didnt know what a YMSC was either.
Snowflake in general wont take damsel's unless its really hungry(but it does happen!)
Personally i wouldnt put any damsels in there surely your snowflake is the centre piece, it would be better to not load the tank with such a messy eater.
Also a snowflake may not eat the damsel but he may attack them when it comes feeding time, both damsels and SFE's are aggressive eaters and if a snowflake see's a damsel going for his food he will be very annoyed.

I would agree, a snowflake will generally leave fish alone. Unless the eel is VERY large, and the fish are rather small. Snowflakes will eat any shrimp in the tank. The only shrimp that did well with my snowflake was a coral banded shrimp.

Actually, the snowflakes will usually not mess with even the smaller fishes. But there is always a chance. You just need to make sure the snowflake is well fed. I have kept many small fish with them and never had a problem. They are more e to eat any crustacea in the tank than the fish. As for how many Damsels? Well I don't know what a YSMC is, so I cannot answer that. But, you need to be more specific on the damsels, as you say some of the smaller ones, but there are only a couple that stay small, the rest get rather large to what most people think.

None.

A snowflake eel will eat the smaller damsels.

I agree, in that size tank, I would not have more than two. And there are many other nice looking fish that would go well with them. That is one of the problems of SW, the majority of SW fish don't get along with their same species, and many even with other fish that just resemble their species. And many don't get along with others in their own genus even.

Still cant have that many damsels, damsels are very agrressive especially when they mature. if you want comunity fish with colour.
do something like
2x GSM
1xyellow tail damsel
1x flame angel
1x fairy wrasse of some type

damsel are just way to agressive to keep together you gotta watch for once they get past juvi stage, they turn into real nightmare and you will proberly want them out

Clowns are unics. The largest will become a female, and the next largest will be the male. Any other fish will be sexless.

Well both those damsels will get as large as a female YSMC, lol. And actually, clownfish are related to the damselfish. They should be fine together.

As for the eel, a neat thing to do is to give him a piece of food that is just a little to large to swallow whole. Like a nice chunck of tiger shrimp. It is really cool to watch them grab it, and then tie themselves into a knot from the tail, and slide the knot down their body to their mouth. Then they use this knot to rip a mouthful off the too large piece. Very cool to watch.

You can buy "paired" clowns in any species. Pairing clowns requires no work to be done buy 2 small GSM's and their natural instinct kicks in. one will turn male then female the other will turn male. With GSM's they are a little more agressive than other clowns.
But as long as you have enough hidey holes for the less dominant clown you will get away without any major scuffles between them

I would not add more than 2 with a pair of the clowns and the eel.

IME, snowflakes are pretty fast growers, and wont hesitate to nip a human or a smaller fish.

If you buy a small eel and large damsels...then maybe you wouldn't have a problem. I just dont trust keeping any true carnivorous eels with smaller fish like that. If it was a zebra moray or something, then maybe that'd be different. Just my opinion.

I must agree, I would not have more than maybe 2-3 damsels. And then they need to be placed when small and grow up together. And yes, that specific clown is one of the most aggressive of all the clownfish. If she has an anemone there will be no fear in her. I say she, because all clowns kept singularly will be females, or will eventually change to a female.

6 yellow tail is way to many. damsels are very aggressive towards each other. yellow tails are the tamest but 10 would push the bio load way to far would leave no territory.
Pair of GSM and a SFE would be a more suitable bio load
