i constantly have brown algae and debrie setteling on my crushed coral substrate. I need a reef safe and non aggresive fish and/or invertebrate that what sift through the crushed coral to prevent this layer of algae from forming on it. Answers with in two day would be appreciated. I have a 55 gal. with non aggresive fish (1 cleaner shrimp, 1 black percula clown, 1 tomato, 3 blue/green chromis, 1 fairy basselet , 1 sebae anemone, 1 bubble tip anemone. Really bright current usa orbit lighting(white and blue lights) aqua clear h/o filter and 2 200 watt heaters.
my water parameters are:
pH: 8.2
alk.: above 300
hardness: 425
nitRIte: 0
nitRate: 20
ammonia: .25 (going down)
salinity: 1.23
temp: average 78

thanks

have you thought about any of the jawfish or gobies?

Jawfish need alittle more peace and quite, but some gobies will sift the sand and work well in that type of tank.
