![]() | Green Brittle Star |
clownfish_rule![]() Fingerling Posts: 25 Kudos: 8 Votes: 0 Registered: 05-Jun-2004 ![]() ![]() | I purchased a green brittle starfish. I have been reading about it and have found that many find this star to be a risk in aquariums. In that, it will kill fish. Does anyone on this site have any experience with these and are they really all that bad? I will target feed mine shrimp, mullosks, silversides and some other sea food. Will this prevent it from killing fish? Thanks alot, Leah |

Hope it helps. Although they are not a threat to corals or clams Brittle Stars may catch and eat small passive reef fishes, such as small gobies, at night. Otherwise they are great reef inhabitants. It is in the tank a triger, tang, lionfish and snowflake eel. Although they are for the most part babies, but I think (hopefully) they are big enough that the star will not see them as food. Again, thanks for your time and help. Leah |
