You will also need to consider moving the yellow tang to a 6 foot tank later down the road when it gets close to its 8 inch adult size. They will only eat live copepods, not anything else. Not exactly true. My mandarin will eat pellet food, and pretty much anything that I put in the tank for the other fish......however the prepared foods will not give them all the nutrition that they need to thrive. I would not suggest adding a mandarin to any tank that does not have at a minimum of 150-200 pounds of live rock with a refugium. The tank must also be very mature. |
