Hey,
Well it looks like I'll be in the path of the hurricane come tomorrow. My wife and I already finished up the majority of our hurricane kit last night. Now the last things to get going are our pets. Any suggestions on whatto do for my 3 SW tanks if we lose power?

All i heard before was to stir the water every once in a while to keep the water from being still. I'm trying to get a hold of a few battery back-ups at work right now. But I'm just looking at the worse case scenario right now. Any ideas? I'm sure I'll be busy w/ my tanks tonight and putting my aluminum shutters up tonight.

Any ideas or suggestions are all welcomed.

Thanks

A battery back up will be your best bet. Just hook up one powerhead so it lasts as long as possible.

I'd be running and getting a generator.

Also, if you do loose power for more then an hour, and you have filters such as a wet/dry. Disconnect them so the stagnent water does not get back in to the tank. I have heard this can cause some problems with the die off of the bacteria.
