Looks awesome Dan! What are you feeding the little guy?
How big do you expect it to get?

I'm feeding it squid and krill. It should get between 4 feet and 5 feet.

It's in my FOWLR tank. I don't think it would do well in my reef. Or should I say, the others in the reef tank would not do well. :88)

Actually this is about the only larger moray that would do OK in the reef, that's why I ask, lol. I know two friends of mine that have them at about the same size as yours. One has had his in the reef for over three years. It is housed with many smaller fish, like 4-5 clowns, and a bunch of different wrasses, as well as some blennies. While the other has only had hers for about a year now. But her reef only has larger fish in it, the smallest being a yellow tang. They get fed well, as they both feed them larger pieces of squid and stuff, big enough that the other fish don't eat it.

Just a note here for anyone thinking about keeping one of these in a reef tank with smaller fishes, I am not saying it is OK to do it, just that I know of people that do.

Oh ya, I know fish are generally safe with a zebra eel. But shrimp would not be. I would hate to have a $30+ fire shrimp be a snack for the eel. They also tend to move rocks around.

Yes, that shrimp would most likely be a nice snack for it, lol.

I lost one peppermint shrimp that way. Tottlay spaced out and dropped the shrimp in to the wrong tank, was in a hurry. It lasted 15 seconds. There I was yelling at the tank, NO NO NO. My wife then yells down the steps, what's going on down there. Oh, nothing. ]:|

I was able to get more pictures of my eel tonight. Feel free to take a look. It must be settling in because it's out looking around the tank instead of hidding.
