The peppermint shrimp will be just fine. I had 8 in my 125 with no problems. They will not bother fish, and will eat aptasia, left over food, etc.

Peppermint shrimp are primarily scavangers. They should eat any leftover food in the tank. You dont need to worrry about feeding them directly, but they may appreciate a sinking wafer ever once in a while. not really necessary though.

I give mine a small piece of silver slide. I feed my anemone about 3/4 of it and give the rest to my pepermint shrimp. They take it right out of my hand!

the only problem you will have with peppermint shrimp is with something bothering them, unless your growing aptasia....

they are hardy, cheap reef keepers that will grow quickly and, depending on numbers and conditions, will likely spawn. care is limited to ensuring some bottom food, and trust me these guys are like goats, theyll eat most anything

Well that depends, if you would like them to simply coincide with a coral/fish directed tank, for 29 gal i would not suggest more than 3. 5 in my 75 gal seems to be enough, though I have only had them for a short while.

The worst you can do is overstock, so start with one and work from there.
