I have to look up things relating to the kingdom, phylum, etc. It's very easy. But I'm open for contributions on "cool" facts or links to special stars and pictures that my 10th grade class might be interested in. ![]() Last edited by FerretFanatic at 05-Dec-2004 11:20 -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |

Also sea stars. You should be able to bring up a lot of information. Good luck. ![]() Dan |

I basically have the project done, I'm just lookin' for little extra things really. ![]() -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |

You can talk on the way the Harlequin shrimp lives off these creatures. And how pairs will keep a starfish alive and even feed it to do so, so that they can eat it. 10th graders should be old enough to take it. Some pics; ![]() Here is a good one living on a crown of thorns, you go little shrimp, save those corals, lol ![]() And another one of the shrimp, eating one of the other coral eating starfish, you go little shrimp, save those corals, lol ![]() ![]() And for really impressing them with the beauty of the starfish, you have to show pics of the dreaded coral eating crown of thorns; ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is one eating coral; And lets us not leave out the graceful feather stars, which don't act or look like any of the other starfishs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And if you like, feel free to use this pic of my green one in my reef tank; And finally, check out this website, it appears to be made for just what you are looking for; http://www.geo.lsa.umich.edu/~kacey/ugrad/coral3.html There is always a bigger fish... |
