Last night I came home and looked at my tanks. When I got to the Nano I found the light was off. Turns out that in my hurry to leave I forgot to turn it on.
No big deal I think.

SO I turn on the light and find my tank is in a bad state. There are Pods and Bristle-worms crawling out on the subtrate which was pretty cool. Those little buggers can move that is for sure. Anyway. My coral had fallen off its rock and looked pretty bad. In addition my Maroon clown was laying on the bottom breathing heavily. I did an emergency water change and pulled the coral out.

Today things seemed to be fine. All levels are fine. I am kinda confused. Salinity was a bit high but only 1.027.

The only thing that I can think of is low 02 content from not having the light on and encouraging photosynthesis....timers are a great thing!

BTW, 1.027 isnt kind of high.....its right where I keep mine.

I think it may be in part because the clown was sleeping, they can look kind of bad at times. As well as what DRO said, low O2. Timers are under $5 at Walmart, unless you want a grounded outlet, those are about $9.95.

1.027 is high for that tank. Not sure why it was elevated. I normally keep it at 1.023 or so.

I also had a timer but have been to lazy to hook it up.

Anyway. Things seem to be better. Just gonna keep a closer eye on it for a couple days.
