Hi, all. I am getting ready to buy a new tank. I am upgrading because the fish that I have are going to get too big for my 55 gallon. The trigger, tang and Humu Humu are just babies, right now. The Lionfish is about 5 inches (not including finnage).

So my question is: In order to make a permanent home for these guys, what size tank would you recommend. I want to keep these fish and not upgrade again.
The fish that I will have in this tank are:
1 Humu Humu Trigger
1 Niger Trigger
1 Yellow Tang
1 Red Volitan Lionfish
1 Snowflake Moray Eel.
I may also want to add a Bi-color Angel to the tank.

I know that all of these guys get relatively big and will require a big tank. What size do you suggest?

Thanks a bunch,

Leah

I would recomend a 125, if you have the space. It seems to be the biggest tank you can get before the prices jump because of thicker glass. I have 2 of them and only paid around $300 for each. That was a new price.

Great. A 125 was what I had planned for, but I wanted to make sure before I spent the money. I can get a 125 with a stand and canopy for $425.00. I was considering a 180, but the one I have access to is 1500.00! It is really nice, though. It is predrilled with over-flow boxes and also has a very nice stand and canopy. I'd rather stick with the 125 though. Not only because of the price of the tank, but the set-up would be majorly expensive too!

Thanks alot,

Leah

220 would be better. Some of the fish listed are rather territorial and long, deep and high tank as the 220 manufactured by perfecto would quite perfect. 220 is not much more then the 150.

IMO, no way will a 125 be large enough. 1 Lion, plus two triggers, thats pretty much too much there. Then add a large tank, and an eel and your bio load is going to be HUGE. Lions and Triggers don't always get along either, so don't plan on them playing nice. I'd get nothing less than a 6' long tank either.

If you plan to keep these fish into adulthood, I would have to say *at least* a 180ga. In your case, the bigger the better.
