How big should I let this thing get before I should remove it?There is either two of them or it has in tripled in size over the last month.

I have heard of some getting several feet long. The only problem will come when it dies. A big one may cause a large spike in nitrates. As for when to remove it, well, that's really up to your comfort level.

It should be fine untill it gets very large. I probably wouldn't even worry about 12". Even at that size, in a large enough tank you probably won't see it often. If it starts to come out for feedings and chasing fish, then I'd worry
