Keep in mind they get incredibly large, over 1' in length. I'd say you'll want at least a 135 gallon tank.

This is a VERY cool fish, but you will have to build your tank around this one fish. You can add a few other fish, but it will be your main fish and everything must be built around it. Here is some information on it.

That site also says that the porcupine puffer (Diodon holocanthus) gets up to 3'5"

So does this site, http://www.marinedepotlive.com/653674.html But what does that have to do with the dog faced puffer?

Generally, puffers are peaceful, but might nip at long fins. They will eat most hermits, scarlet hermits seem to do well. Snails will also fair badly with puffers. You will need a large amount of rock in the tank so it can scrape it's beak, otherwise it will get very long and need to be trimmed.

DF Puffers are generally peaceful and like their name suggests, they sometimes think they are dogs. Mine has managed to eat all my soft coral and has slightly re-arranged the rock work. Apart from that the fish greets me when he sees me, comes up to the surface to show me his tooth and sometimes spits water at me. Great fish and lots of fun
