im starting a marine tank HELP ME S.O.S | |
1st_signer Posts: 50 Kudos: 49 Votes: 1 Registered: 12-Sep-2009 | well its not directly me but my science teacher wants to start up a marine tank in the class bacuse i told him i wanted to be a marine bio-logist so he said ill hook you up with a tank in the class but you have to take care of it and start it ill just but materials and fish so i need advice any thing any words of wisdom, im just lost up till now ive only kept frsh water fish so i need help please and is it true i can use mollies to get the water ready? like start it a fresh water and slowly aclimate the water till it reaches the salinity the fish need? Yes, mollies can be acclimated to saltwater. stud_man50 Fingerling Posts: 30 Kudos: 16 Votes: 13 Registered: 22-Feb-2003 | use live rock to do all of your cycling, if you get good quality stuff from your LFS it shouldnt take long, also clownfish are very hardy to start out with, plus everyone loves them, or some damsels. |
