Like was stated earlier, its an easy process to do and if you dont want to hook it up using a faucet attachment you can use a saddle attachment that will pierce the copper pipe under the sink. You will then have to attach the waste water line using an appropriate fitting that can be bought online for r/o units. |

RO systems have to be under pressure to work. If you turn off the pressure such as unhooking it from a constant water source then you have to wait for the whole system to fill up and pressurize again. The waste water also can't be stopped. It's the resulting minerals and other junk from the water. An ro membrane and system doesn't collect the minerals anywhere it runs them off down the drain constantly. A normal ro system has no pumping mechanism so it can't draw water from a bucket it has to have water forced into it by the water lines or from a faucet. Mine is hooked into the pipes where the water first comes into the house and has a 10g storage tank. Some water runs into the ro system and most of it goes on to whoever is running a faucet. It never interferes with anyone's water usage and if I turn it off the storage tank empties. Then I have to wait around for not only the system to fill but the storage tank as well before I get any pressure. Normally you hook them to the pipes under the sink but mine didn't fit under any sinks. |

This will have plastic hose, connections, and a clamp that goes around a copper pipe. Then you turn it and it will drill threw the pipe so water can flow. Very easy to install. Dan Dan |

The preassure from your faucet is greater then that. What your goint to have to do to run it that way would need weight to add pressure to the water. Why not connect it to a water faucet outside with a y fitting 97c at any hardware store plus the reducers and such to make it fit to the ro and then coiver it up wit a plastic bin. |
