importfan878  Enthusiast Posts: 169 Kudos: 212 Votes: 8 Registered: 22-Jun-2005 | what substates can I use in my 30 gallon that i will be seettting up a reef, i dont wnat to bb, i lik the look of the lighter colored sands , i dont wnat crushed corla becuz i dont want to gravel vac, i was thinking pool fitler sand but i heard it doesnt sink easly but it is so cheap, is it worth the extra prica to just purchase carib sea arag- live sand, what aobut tahitian moon, how many inches of sand sohudl i have? |

Just get the plain ole dry sand. The tahitian moon sand will also work and it looks nice. I know a couple people that use it in their tanks. I would go for a nice 2 inch deep sandbed so you can get the benefits of NNR. |
