I want to start a new 75G(300L)tank with the dimensions 48*20*20"(120*50*50cm).Do you hae any other sugestions of the dimensions??(I want to grow tall Vallisneria)
Do you think that the Ehem 2215 and aqua el (fan1) is eenought filtration considering that the aquarium is going to be havely planted?
I will use as a substrate Terralit and Volcanit above the sand(After i red the book Ecology of the planted aquarium i thonk that there should be 1/2 sand and normal gravel and 1/2volcanit and terralit. What do you think about this??
The light will be 5*36W maybe 2*tropical sun from sera and 3*daylight.
The sand in the bootom will come from my actual 25G tank and so will the canister and the filetring media in the canister. So considering this do you think that i can add my fish imediately or what time should i expect??
The fish in the tank will be something like this :
3*Xiphophorus heleri(xipho)
5*gupy(maybe)
5*platy
2*moly(poecilia lapitinia)(maybe)
2*ancistrus
2*conchinus(mine are very peacefull)(maybe)
4*Corydoras paleatus
4*corydoras aeneus
4*Brachydanio rerio(zebrafish)
2*three spot gouramis
2*aymonieri
2*Megalechis personata(catfish)
2*Platydoras(catfish)(maybe)
10*Paracheirodon innesi(neon tetra)(maybe)
2*angels(maybe more what do you say)

Are there too many fishes??I want to buy some angels in the new aquarium .How many??

umm. the tank might be alittle overcworded. as with the angels, if u feel that there is enough room, a group of 3-5 angels would do o.k

It's hard to comment on your stocking level, because I'm not totally familiar with filters you're suggesting. I'd probably go with Eheim 2217 for a 75 gallon tank.

I have a few suggestions that you can take or leave, but for what it's worth:
1) I would suggest that instead of getting four paleatus and four aeneus cories, you might want to consider getting eight of one or the other. Cories like bigger groups and become a whole lot more fun when you have more of the same kind.
2) I've known people who have had problems with zebra danios being nippy, especially if you go with small numbers (like four). I'd be a bit concerned about nippiness.
3) There are many reports of angels eating neon tetras, Some people introduce the angels last, when they're small, and when the neons are big and have no problems. Many people, though, find that their neons end up being expensive angelfish snacks. Maybe consider replacing the neons (and the danios) with a larger tetras. I have rummynoses in with a pair of angels and it works well. Larger bodied tetras like lemon tetras would work well, too.

Anyway, a few suggestions. In any case, I don't think I'd put more than a pair of angels in there. I think you're getting pretty full.

I cannot comment on the fish but your choice of Eheim could certainly be up graded to the 2217
The 2215 Lph = 620
2217 Lph = 1000

Personally I would go for the Eheim Pro11 2028 far superior model Lph = 1050.

I have the 2026 and it does a fantastic job yes it will cost more $$ but it is a different type of filter.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

Ok i am going for no neons tank. For the zebras i kept them in my 25G tank with my angels and they wore peacefull.

The eheim 2215 is recomended for 300l tank and i allready have it and i can't aford any other filter right now.Plus I have to go all the way to Germany because they do not take any online orders from this country.
I only want to create a water movement.
