I'm going to get a 55-75 (75 if space allows). I want to do an asian tank. I have no idea what plants to have, but here are the fish I'd like to get:
Pearl Gourami
Moonlight gourami
Blue Gourami
Harlequin Rasboras(?)
Clown Loach
Snakeskin Gourami

I'm going to have to figure out how many fish my tank will allow, but is that a good list?

Pearl Gourami are very beautiful & peaceful. The Loaches (so you need a big tank) & Rasboras need to stay in schools & welcome to FishProfiles.

Thanks. Is 1 gallon per 2 inches of fish a good formula? I figured out that I'd be able to have:
4 Pearl Gouramies
2 Moonlight Gouramies
11 Harlequin Rasboras
3 Clown Loaches
2 Blue Gouramies

for fifty gallons. I figure that 1 gallon per 2 fish is okay. I cut out the Snakeskin gourami because according to it's profile it gets up to 9.8".
Well, any ideas about plants?

My only concern would be the Blue Gourami, they would be the most aggressive of the Gourami you have selected. If you still would like the blue colouring try the "Opaline Gourami" they are extremly peacefull and very attractive variety.
