I am upgrading my tank I am going from a 4' to a 6'. I found a great deal. Tank, stand, hood and foam for AU$320. Which is incredible!

What sort of filtration would I be looking at? I was thinking 2 canisters or a sump?

Do you know how much it'll cost to get the tank drilled and getting the column put in?

Lash out and buy a good Eheim Pro11 canister.

If it is second hand glass it could be risky drilling/cutting holes in glass as the older it gets the more brittle it gets.

If its over 6' then most likely you can't get it drilled. Just make an overflow for the tank, there hundreds of articles on the net about them, or you can buy one online.

Most tanks that size have tempered bottoms. If you try to the glass will explode into tiny pieces.

20 Gallon Long:
Aquaclear 300
2 Bolivian Rams, Mikrogeophagus altispinosus: Gumby and Pokey

The tank is brand new. I rang the store today and they told me that that to get the holes drilled in the bottom and get the corner column put in it'd be an additional $45. I can get a 2 footer off a mate for free and this should work well for a sump. All I need to do is add some dividers and media to it and it should be good.

The dimensions are 72x20x14 LHW

Did you tell them the size. He may not have known it was tempered. You can't drill tempered tanks.

The guy who is selling me the tank told me about the drilling. He will get it drilled for me.
