Big tank upgrade | |
milkyboy Hobbyist Posts: 88 Kudos: 81 Votes: 4 Registered: 03-Dec-2005 | I am upgrading my tank I am going from a 4' to a 6'. I found a great deal. Tank, stand, hood and foam for AU$320. Which is incredible! What sort of filtration would I be looking at? I was thinking 2 canisters or a sump? Do you know how much it'll cost to get the tank drilled and getting the column put in? If it is second hand glass it could be risky drilling/cutting holes in glass as the older it gets the more brittle it gets. I rang the store today and they told me that that to get the holes drilled in the bottom and get the corner column put in it'd be an additional $45. I can get a 2 footer off a mate for free and this should work well for a sump. All I need to do is add some dividers and media to it and it should be good. The dimensions are 72x20x14 LHW Milkyboy |
