New Filtration Plan | |
Twilight Hobbyist Posts: 102 Kudos: 76 Votes: 92 Registered: 15-Oct-2007 | Well, having taken my ugf out of storage, I've found a broken part of the grill-thingy (technical term ), and so I think it's garbagable. I have a 29g tank. I hope to keep a betta, a small tetra school, a cory group, and an oto group. I also plan to keep it moderately well-planted. Suggestions for a new filtering system? I vote! Do you? |

Your betta would probably not like the current though. Try adding some floating plants such as hornwort to the top to keep so calm areas. This works for my hatchet fish. |

I also notice the Cardinal Tetras are always swimming into the current. Any good type of external filter is best this means no interal fixtures into the tank. It has to have a good filtration system also good Gal per hr water movement. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Floating plants will also help your Betta, but as Keith said, they also like to swim in the current. http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

A right fine filter too.Once they get used to it the betta love to swim in the current, mine plays there all the time |
