After getting a 75g in July, I've pretty much...moved all fish into it. After a dorsal-less platy and a elderly honey gourami started being out competed for food- I re-started a 10g commumnity tank. I have the following for stocking:
6X red panda guppies[stay about 1 in]
1X honey gourami
1X betta plakat male[very gentle]
1X platy[dorsal-less]

I am interested in fully planting it, which I will do slowly. I would like to know if I could put any other fish in it. I can give it enough filtration for a 45g, right now it has filtration for a 10g.

I think I would like to do something w/ the following speices:
corydoras pygmy or panda
threadfin rainbows? need to research them first.
I've always had probs w/ them but neons or cardinals
killis of some sort
Dwarf Gourami
Rasboras[porkchop or dwarf]
galexy rasboras-if I can get my hands on them
Ghosties or red cherry shrimp
rams

Of course I don't think I could fit all of them in there so I am looking to you guys to help me out. If you have any more ideas I am quite open to anything and everything, except WCMM, dont like them very much.

Thank you!!

For the stick with the 6 guppies, I think is good but definetly no more. All of the fish you listed after that can fit, be sure to share some fry with me from the guppies
and um... dorsal-less....

I wouldn't add much to that tank. The betta or the gourami would likely chow down on small rasboras or shrimp if you got them, and adding another gourami to such a small tank would basically be a death sentence to it (dwarf gouramis can be quite territorially aggressive). As for the cories, rainbows, tetras, or porkchop rasboras, these are all schooling fish, and adding as many as they would need to be happy will push your stocking level beyond what over-filtering can make up for. And rams are fairly sensitive as well as timid, and I think they'd take the brunt of any aggression from your gourami. Killies I admittedly don't know much about, but I have heard that some of them can be quite aggressive, and they are best suited for single-species tanks.

You could maybe get another platy or two of the same gender as the one you have if you do overfilter... keep in mind that the law of diminishing returns applies to filtration - at some point no matter how much more you add, other factors like aggression and disease (which spread fastest when fish are forced to stay close together) will limit your stocking levels. And no matter how much you filter you still need to be increasingly vigilant with water changes as you increase stocking because while your biofilter takes care of ammonia, other harmful organic compounds still build up in the water and can only be removed by changing the water - the more fish, the more of these things you will have.

If you stay with the Guppies only and they are M & F it will not be long before you have an over population.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Ya...dorsalless is kinda strange...then again i have a panda cory with no eyes

Ok, if you don't think I should add anything thats fine. Could I get a couple more gups? Right now its 3 pairs, but I'd like to make them trios as everyone always suggests.

Thank you!
