I'm sorry, buy why would you set something like that up without a filter? Tank #2 - Yes overstocked. Any more than 1 male Paradisefish and you'll have problems, they're like bettas in that regards. Even females aren't always safe with males. Tank #3 - African cichlids...12" fronts, 1.5" multies? Tank #4 - Yes overstocked. The female betta alone might be ok but that's it. Male swords can grow to over 1", and the 1M/1F ratio in that small of a tank will really stress the female. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

My Betta Desk top tank I also over stocked but and a big but. The filtration is Eheim and would run a bigger tank, and I do a very regular 30% water change weekly. Also the filter is cleaned every week as well. It can be done but it takes experience and a lot of extra work to get the correct balance and make it work. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
