Don't worry, fish can go days without eating if they have to.

If i have been feeding my fish to much over a couple days I might not feed them one day, or just a little bit that day.

Sirbooks would be correct, your fish will be fine with missing a feeding. I believe it's actually good to fast your fish once a week anyway for some reason, so my fish get fed 6 out of 7 days.

EDIT: posted at the same time as openwater

Mine often miss a day or two. They never get fed the day I do the water changes.

That's a good idea keithgh. I'll be using your method & fasten my fish on water changing day.

Can 4/5 weeks fry survive 2/3 days without food?.

There is a very good reason for not to feed on a water change day or after a new introduction to the tank.

I do not know all the tecnhnical details but it is to do with the fish being unable to digest the food as naturer intended.
Besides it will not harm them in any way. Just think how long they go without food before and when being transported over seas .

I usually fast them every 2 days. This way, the "LAZY" algae eaters must resort to algae, Corydoras continue to scavenge and the Amano Shrimp do their thing. Everyone resorts to "alternatives" during these days.

I go 2 days of feeding, 1 day of fast. 2 days of feeding, 1 day of fast. Water Quality is an improvement helps also from "bad" algae taking heed..

Did I mention it saves on Fish food (ehehe). Its a nice balance. Considering I only feed my fish in the evening. I do no more than 1 feeding per day.

I dropped in some beefheart for both my Community 55GAL and my 35GAL Barb tank. This was their feeding for the day. My new tank project (1 Betta, 5 Harlequin Rasboras for now) is still in the "new tank stage". Excessive feeding could tip the hat in algae's favour...
