![]() | planted tanks and upkeep? |
wallawalla![]() Small Fry Posts: 12 Kudos: 8 Votes: 1 Registered: 27-Mar-2005 | Thinking about moving to a planted tank, have a silly question. Do you still vacuum the gravel if you have rooted plants in your tank? wouldn't you run the risk of uprooting everything, or do you just have to be extra careful? Are there any other upkeep issues that make planted aquarium care substantially different than unplanted, aside from the plants' nutrient/co2 requirements? Thanks all... |

Simply create a current above the substrate to lift the mulm and debris off the gravel and vacuum it away. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

What is your hardware setup (tank size, light, filter)? Have fun, Ingo ![]() |
