yes they can go in a 2 gallon tank I think you could get some thing like 5 of them. I'm not sure if you could get some type of fish you could get but dose it have a heater.

You could put a few shrimp in there, and you could also stick a trio of appropriate killifish, such as nothobranchius guentheri. There are plenty of other fish that'll go in a small tank, such as a male betta or a trio of females, but you have to make sure the fish you choose can't eat your shrimp. Little dwarf african frogs are pretty cool too

You could actually get up to 12 shrimp in a 2 gallon tank (4-6 shrimp per gallon), but you have to make sure you're not overfeeding. They will do best in a heated tank (or a consistently warm room) with a few live plants, and you'll want to provide them with a cave for molting and hiding. Putting java moss on the cave will also provide a place for baby shrimp to hide out, if you're lucky enough to start them breeding. Adding a few drops of marine iodine and possibly a liquid calcium if you have soft tap water (Kent is a good brand for both of these, and you want to use 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended dose per gallon) will also help them survive molting and their ability to grow strong shells.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...
